You begin these brownies with a fudgy, chewy homemade brownie base. Now, I highly recommend using the recipe below to make the brownies-it’s a great one bowl recipe that’s super easy to make. Although I recommend using the Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa powder, you can go ahead and use whatever cocoa powder you have on hand. I’m just a Ghirardelli Chocolate freak. :)

After the brownies come out of the oven, you spread the frosting on the them while they’re still warm.  That way the frosting kind of melts all the way to the edges, leaving you with a rich and fudge-like frosting.

Trust me on this one.  If you like chocolate at all, you NEED to make these babies.  I promise your life will be forever changed.  ;)

Bake in preheated oven 25-27 minutes. Allow brownies to cool in pan on wire rack for 2 minutes. Then turn brownies out onto wire rack and allow to cool.
In a small bowl combine butter, cocoa, honey, vanilla, milk, and confectioners sugar. Frost brownies while they are still warm.
