Christmas Cookie Roundup

It’s that time of year again! The time of year when we pull out our baking sheets and oven mitts and whip up some wonderful homemade creations for our friends and family! This definitely is the most wonderful time of the year! ūüėÄ With our newest addition¬†making his appearance around my favorite holiday, it certainly makes this time of year even that much sweeter! Here’s a roundup of a few of my favorite cookies to leave for Santa. From the classic Christmas Cookie Cutouts to the Gingerbread Whoopie Pies, there’s something sweet for everyone on your list! ūüėÄ

Double Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cookies:

Rich and decadent peppermint infused chocolate cookies drizzled with dark chocolate and sprinkled with crushed candy canes. The quintessential christmas cookie!

Chocolate Turtle Cookies:

Rich, fudgy chocolate cookies are rolled in pecans then filled with a decadent caramel.

Ginger Sandwich Cookies with Cinnamon Cream Filling:

These two-bite sized cookies are perfect for holiday parties or baked goodie boxes. Make these the day before you want to share them with friends and family. The cookies will soften and the flavors will mingle, making them even more irresistable.

Orange Gingerbread Cookies with Rum Glaze:

Soft gingerbread cookies with a hint of orange and a kick of rum make these cookies the perfect grown-up version of the classic gingerbread cookie.

 Christmas Sugar Cookies:

Fun and decorative cutout sugar cookies!

Gingerbread Whoopie Pies with Eggnog Filling:

These delicious gingerbread whoopie pies with eggnog filling are overflowing with christmas cheer.

Cream Wafers:

Butter, whipping cream and flour come together to create melt-in-your-mouth wafer cookies. It is absolutely impossible to have just one of these bite-sized cookies.

Thick and Chewy Gingerbread Cookies:

These classic gingerbread cookies are spicy, thick and chewy. To me¬†nothing says “merry christmas” more than a plate full of decorated gingerbread men. You can cut these¬†cookies¬†into any shape that you want and decorate them with¬†royal icing.

White Chocolate Cranberry Shortbread Cookies:

Buttery shortbread cookies speckled with white chocolate and fresh cranberries.

Rugelach with Chocolate Walnut Filling:

These cookies are buttery, rich and super simple to make! A cream cheese and sour cream dough is rolled around sweet a rich filling of mini chocolate chips and walnuts.

Brown Sugar Cookies:

With nutty, caramel notes from browned butter and a fair bit of salt and vanilla to balance the flavors, these cookies will become an instant holiday favorite.

Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies:

Soft and chewy peanut butter sandwich cookies filled with an addicting peanut butter filling. Not too big and not too small, just the perfect size for dipping in milk!

Soft Lofthouse Style Frosted Cookies:

Unbelievably soft sugar cookies with a delicious buttercream frosting and topped with colorful sprinkles. These taste very similar to those infamous Lofthouse Cookies with frosting and sprinkles.

Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars:

These thick and chewy cookie bars loaded with gooey chocolate chips are sure to satisfy any cookie craving. These bar cookies are super easy to make; just mix, bake and cut!

Funfetti Cookies:

These made from scratch festive cookies taste just like the classic boxed recipe! They’re perfect for holiday gift giving!

I’m new to your blog but just wanted to say “Thank You” for some wonderful recipes. I’ve already tried the Glazed Doughnut Muffins and the Thick and Chewy Gingerbread Cookies (those were baked over the weekend and are in the freezer for decorating later!) and both were delicious. This “cookie collection” looks amazing and it will be hard to choose which ones to make!
P.S. Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful son…:)

I have been so into cookie making lately. Just wait until you bake up a few batches with your little one in a few years. I bet it will be a blast.

ChgoJohn’s comment made me laugh. When I’m talking to my husband about your site I refer to it as my food goddess’s blog, lol. He knows I worship the ground you walk on because you always have an awesome recipe and awesome pics and you work full time and your skinny, ha! I know you just had a baby and may need to take a break for a while, but I’ve been geting your emails for over a year now. Thanks for all the awesome recipes!!
