This Easter, give them a treat like no other—Chocolate Covered Bunny Berries! They’re destined to be a hit at any spring or Easter event!
If you’re looking for some last minute Easter treats to add to that basket, look no further! These Chocolate Covered Bunny Berries are easy to make and come together in no time flat! With only a few ingredients, you’re on your way to having a cute and unique Easter treat!
Yield: 8-10 servings
1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
11 ounces white chocolate (chips, wafers, chunks or chopped bar-I used Wilton candy melts)
Pink sanding sugar
Heart sprinkles (for nose)
1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
To make the ears, cut marshmallows in half and dip the cut side into pink sanding sugar. Repeat until you have enough ears for the number of berries you plan on using; set aside. To make the bunny tails, cut marshmallows in half and set aside. Repeat until you have enough ears for the number of berries you plan on using.
Line a baking sheet with wax paper, parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Place the white chocolate in a glass bowl and microwave for 1 minute then stir and continue to microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until melted and smooth.
Holding the strawberry by the green leaves, dip into the white chocolate. Gently shake off excess chocolate. Working quickly, attach the ears, nose, and tail. Place berry (green leaves down) on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all strawberries are dipped.
Melt milk chocolate chips in microwave. Place melted chocolate in a bag with a very small round frosting tip. Draw two dots for eyes.
Place baking sheet of chocolate-covered berries in refrigerator to set for about 15 to 30 minutes. If refrigerated longer, let berries sit at room temperature about 30 minutes before serving. Best served the day they are made.
