You can’t find a better comfort food than this slow cooker shepherd’s pie! It’s super flavorful, easy to make, and doesn’t take much effort. When you make crock pot shepherd’s pie, the slow cooker does all the work too!



  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground meat
  • 1 medium white onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 cups frozen peas and corn
  • 3 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 2 tsp. beef base
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 6 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


  1. Saute onion and ground meat in a medium frying pan over medium heat until meat is browned and onions are tender.
  2. Combine onions, ground meat, garlic, carrots, peas and corn, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch mustard seed, beef base, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker.
  3. Spread mashed potatoes over top and cover.
  4. Cook on HIGH for 4-5 hours. Sprinkle with cheese before serving.
