Ingredients
1Tube refrigerated crescent rolls
16oz.Cream cheese softened
2Lemons zested and juice squeezed out
½C.+ 1 Tbsp. Granulated sugar divided
2Tbsp.Melted butter
1tsp.Vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Open the crescent rolls, and spread half of the dough out on the bottom of a 9x13 well-greased baking dish. Pinch the perforated edges together, and stretch the dough to fit in the bottom of the dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, ½ cup of sugar, lemon juice and zest and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
Spread the mixture out over the pastry in the bottom of the baking dish.
Stretch the second half of the crescent roll dough over the top of the filling.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until browned.
Spread the melted butter over the top, and sprinkle with 1 Tbsp of sugar.
Let cool, chill for a few hours and then cut into squares to serve.
