I love everything about this delightful steak and shrimp tacos recipe, There's something about the combination of flavors and textures that just makes my taste buds happy. I could eat them every day!
Ingredients
1lbShrimp, peeled and deveined
1Steak
1TFajita Seasoning
½TSalt, Pepper and Garlic Salt
½CRed Onion, chopped
½CGreen Onion
1Whole Tomato, or use canned, chopped
½CCheese Sauce
6-8 Warmed Tortilla Shells, large Substitute with Whole Wheat
Sour Cream, optional
Cilantro, optional
1TOil
Fajita Seasonings:
1TChili Powder
2tspGround Cumin
2tspSmoked Paprika
2tspGarlic Powder
1tspOnion Powder
1tspGranulated Sugar
½tspBlack Pepper
½tspSalt to taste
¼tspCayenne Pepper
Instructions
In a skillet add oil over Medium-High heat. Oil and season shrimp with a dash of salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Toss well.
Add 1 T oil to the pan and add shrimp, cook for 3-4 mins, tossing frequently till cooked through. Remove.
In the same pan add red and green onions. Cook for 1 minute just to saute. Add shrimp and steak back to the pan with fajita seasonings. Over low heat, cook for 1 additional minute.
Add the cheese sauce to the tortilla first on the bottom layer, then top with your steak and shrimp mixture. Finish with sour cream, cilantro, or parsley
