½C.Yellow cornmeal
1tsp.Garlic powder
1tsp.Paprika
1tsp.Onions powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions
Wet the fish with water and then shake the majority of it off. You want the fillets to be slightly damp so that the cornmeal has something to adhere to though.
Season both sides of the fish with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
Place the cornmeal in a Ziploc bag with the fish, and shake to coat the fish well.
Heat several inches of oil in a deep-sided skillet on the stove over medium-high heat until it reaches a temperature of 350 degrees.
Fry 1-2 pieces of fish at a time until golden brown, usually about 3-4 minutes.
