Made with a rich chocolate cake mix, this Chocolate Cobbler is packed with flavor. The chocolate chips add a touch of sweetness, while the cocoa powder gives the cobbler a deep, rich flavor. And best of all, it's quick and easy to make.
Ingredients
For the cobbler:
1cFlour
¼cButter melted
¼tspBaking powder
¾cGranulated sugar
½cMilk
1 ½tbspCocoa powder
1tspVanilla
For the topping:
1cLight brown sugar
¼ cCocoa powder
1 ½ cBoiling water
Instructions
Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, stir together the baking powder, flour, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla and 1 ½ Tbsp of cocoa powder.
Spread the melted butter into the bottom of a 9x9 baking dish.
Add the mixture into the dish on top of the butter. You do not have to mix them, just let the flour mixture sit on top of the butter spread out.
In another bowl, stir together the brown sugar and ¼ cup of cocoa powder. Sprinkle the mixture over the ingredients in the baking dish, do not stir.
Pour the boiling water over everything, and again, do not stir.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Remove, and let cool for 30 minutes before serving.
