Start by preparing the Christmas tree decorations. Evenly space the pretzel sticks on a parchment lined baking sheet. Melt the candy melts in the microwave or using a double boiler. Using either a piping bag or drizzling with a spoon, drizzle the melted candy melts over the pretzel sticks in the shape of a christmas tree. Decorate with round sprinkles and let the candy melts set before removing the trees.
Add the cake mix and required ingredients (as displayed on the box) in a bowl and mix well. Gently stir in the red and green sprinkles and pour into cupcake liners. Bake as per instructions on the box. Set aside to cool.
Make the frosting by adding the butter to a large bowl and beating with an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Stir in the powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and cream. Beat on high for 3-5 minutes until fully incorporated and light and fluffy.
Use a piping bag to ice each of the cupcakes and place a single tree in the icing on top of each cupcake.
