In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine water, oats, flaxseed, cherries and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon nuts, and cinnamon. Place 1 cup oatmeal in each of 6 bowls; sprinkle each serving with 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon nuts and drizzle with 1 teaspoon oil.
