This Beef and Broccoli recipe is easy on the budget, it is Asian inspired and a favorite takeout dish. This dish reheats easily and can be served alone or with a bowl of rice.
Ingredients
2tbspcornstarch
2tbspwater
1/2tspminced garlic
1lbbeef round steak/strips
4Cbroccoli
1small onion, chopped
1CShredded carrots
2tbspolive oil
Sauce:
1/3cupsoy sauce
2tbspbrown sugar
1tspginger paste
1tbspcorn starch
1/2cupwater
Instructions
Coating: In a bowl, combine cornstarch, water, and minced garlic. Mix until combined.
Coat the beef into the garlic mixture
Sauce Directions:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, Ginger paste, corn starch, and water.
Mix until combined
In a large wok over medium-high heat, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until beef is browned.
Remove and keep warm.
Stir-fry broccoli, carrots, and onion in the remaining oil. Add the beef and sauce.
Cook about 3 minutes, continuously stirring to ensure even cooking
