– 2 lbs. Fresh green beans snapped and cut into pieces – 1 C. Chopped onions – 1 Large ham hock or 2-3 smaller ones – 2 lbs. Small gold potatoes chopped – 4 C. Chicken broth – 2 tsp. Minced garlic – 1 tsp. Seasoned salt – Pepper to taste
Step 1. Place the green beans, onions, and chicken broth into a slow cooker.
Lower the temperature to low, and cook for 3 hours. Open the lid, remove the ham hock, and add the potatoes.
Slice and chop the ham before adding it back to the slow cooker with the minced garlic, seasoned salt, and pepper to taste.
Return the lid to the slow cooker and cook on high again for 1 ½ hours, or until the potatoes are tender.
