Ingredients
8cupsCrispix cereal, you can use Corn Chex
2cuppecan halves, salted or unsalted
½cupbrown sugar, packed
½cupcorn syrup, light corn syrup
½cupbutter
1tspvanilla extract
½tspbaking soda
Instructions
Preheat oven to 250ºF.
Combine cereal (or Corn Chex) and unsalted pecans.
In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, light corn syrup, and butter.
Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
Pour over cereal and pecans mixture, tossing to coat evenly.
Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch pan. Bake for around 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Pour onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces.
