OMG!! This is addictive!
Trust me, This is perfect for a bbq, a picnic, movie night or just sitting around a campfire!
I added a bag of Frito’s and it’s paired really well!!
Ingredients :
8 cups Crispix cereal (you can use Corn Chex)
2 cup pecan halves (salted or unsalted)
½ cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup corn syrup (light corn syrup)
½ cup butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking soda
How to make it :
Step 1. Preheat oven to 250ºF.
Step 2. Combine cereal (or Corn Chex) and unsalted pecans.
Step 3. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, light corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over cereal and pecans mixture, tossing to coat evenly.
Step 4. Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch pan. Bake for around 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Step 5. Pour onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces.
