raspberry jam
Instructions
Step1:
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
Step2:
In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, cornmeal, flour, vanilla, buttermilk, butter, lemon juice, and sugar.
Step3:
Mix on medium speed with a hand mixer.
Step4:
Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
Step5:
Make sure the filling is even in the pie shell.
Step6:
Bake at 325 °F for 35-40 minutes or until the top is nice and thoroughly browned.
Step7:
Check the pie for by seeing if the filling wiggles. If it does cook for another 5 minutes.
Step8:
Let it cool for 30 minutes.
Step9:
Place the jam in a microwave safe bowl for 45 seconds.
Step10:
Pour the jam on top of the chess pie and spread it evenly.
Step11:
Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
Step12:
Garnish with fresh raspberries and whip cream.
