You make Schnitzel from pork chops, veal, mutton, beef, turkey, or chicken. Plain and simple, Schnitzel is a cut of thinly sliced, breaded, and fried meat. You can fry or oven-bake Schnitzel.
Ingredients
6Boneless skinless chicken breasts butterflied
1Tbsp.Olive oil
¾C.All purpose flour
1Tbsp.Paprika
2Large eggs
2C.Bread crumbs
1Large lemon zested
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
Cover a large sheet pan in aluminum foil and drizzle the olive oil over it. Place the sheet pan into the preheated oven.
Season the butterflied chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Mix together the flour and paprika on a plate.
Place the eggs into a bowl and beat them well.
Add the breadcrumbs and lemon zest to another plate, and mix together well.
Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally, coat in the bread crumb mixture.
Place the chicken onto the heated sheet pan and bake for 6-8 minutes, flip the breasts over, and bake for another 6-8 minutes until completely cooked through.
