Baked Chicken Schnitzel

The Best Baked Chicken Schnitzel is made completely from scratch in this easy one-pan recipe that’s sure to please the whole family!

Baked Chicken Schnitzel

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 12-16 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

6 Boneless skinless chicken breasts butterflied

1 Tbsp. Olive oil

¾ C. All-purpose flour

1 Tbsp. Paprika

2 large eggs

2 C. Bread crumbs

1 Large lemon zested

Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Baked Chicken Schnitzel:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2. Cover a large sheet pan in aluminum foil and drizzle the olive oil over it. Place the sheet pan into the preheated oven.

Step 3. Season the butterflied chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Step 4. Mix together the flour and paprika on a plate.

Step 5. Place the eggs into a bowl and beat them well.

Step 6. Add the breadcrumbs and lemon zest to another plate, and mix together well.

Step 7. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally, coat in the bread crumb mixture.

Step 8. Place the chicken onto the heated sheet pan and bake for 6-8 minutes, flip the breasts over, and bake for another 6-8 minutes until completely cooked through.
