Peanut butter and chocolate is a classic flavor combination that never goes out of style. This cake is moist, dense, and full of rich flavor. The chocolate frosting is the perfect finishing touch.
Ingredients
For the cake:
2 ¼C.All-purpose flour
2C.Brown sugar
1C.Peanut butter
½C.Butter softened
1tsp.Baking powder
½tsp.Baking soda
1 ¼C.Milk
2tsp.Vanilla extract
3large eggs
For the frosting
½C.Peanut butter
2Tbsp.Honey
1tsp.Vanilla extract
2C.Powdered sugar
4-5Tbsp.Milk
Mini chocolate chips for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients for the cake, and blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour the batter into a well-greased 9x13 baking dish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes
Cool the cake.
Heat the peanut butter and honey for the frosting in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds and stir until well blended.
Add the peanut butter mixture to the rest of the frosting ingredients until smooth.
Ice the cake and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips as garnish.
