Shrimp is a popular seafood, because it is versatile and easy to cook. This creamy garlic shrimp recipe is a wonderful demonstration of this. It literally takes 10 minutes to prepare and you’ll wow your family and friends with the wonderful taste of a truly creamy seafood delight.
Ingredients
1Tbsp.Olive oil
1lb.Shrimp peeled and deveined
Salt and pepper to taste
2Tbsp.Butter
6tsp.Minced garlic
½C.Chicken broth or white cooking wine
1 ½C.Heavy whipping cream
½C.Parmesan cheese grated
2Tbsp.Fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Saute until cooked through, then remove and set aside.
Melt the butter in the same skillet, and stir in the garlic. Saute for 30 seconds.
Pour in the chicken broth and deglaze the pan. Reduce the heat to medium.
Whisk in the heavy whipping cream and saute until the sauce begins to thicken.
Stir in the parmesan cheese, and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add the shrimp back to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and serve topped with fresh parsley.
