Ingredients
1C.Granulated sugar
6Tbsp.Butter cut into tablespoon pieces
½C.Heavy whipping cream
1tsp.Salt
Instructions
Heat the sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat on the stove while whisking often to prevent it from burning. It will ball up and eventually melt into a deep brown color.
Once completely melted, stir in the butter. Whisk quickly and continuously until the butter and sugar are completely combined. Boil for 1 minute after they are combined.
Slowly whisk in the heavy whipping cream. Boil for one minute without stirring once all of the cream has been added.
Remove the mixture from the heat, stir in the salt and let the mixture cool. The sauce thickens and hardens as it cools. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to use.
