Ingredients
2C.Dry macaroni noodles cooked and drained
1lb.Ground beef
1Can Diced tomatoes 15 oz.
1Can Tomato sauce 29 oz.
3C.Beef broth
1Small onion diced
3tsp.Minced garlic
2Tbsp.Brown sugar
1 ½tsp.Dried basil
1 ½tsp.Dried oregano
1tsp.Thyme
2Bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large high sided skillet over medium heat, saute the onion and ground beef until the meat is completely browned and the onion has softened. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the minced garlic, brown sugar, oregano, basil, bay leaves and thyme as well as salt and pepper to taste, and saute for 30 seconds.
Pour in the diced tomatoes, beef broth and tomato sauce until well combined. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir in the cooked macaroni noodles and heat for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
