This recipe for a Reuben sandwich is designed to make it even better than the ones you have already eaten from the deli. With just a few simple tweaks, you can take this already delicious sandwich to a whole other level. We will share all of our tips and tricks for creating the ultimate Better Than the Seli Reuben Sandwich.
Ingredients
8Slicesof rye bread
8Slicesswiss cheese
½lb.Thinly sliced corned beef
1C.Drained sauerkraut
½C.Thousand Island dressing
2Tbsp.Softened butter
Instructions
Butter one side of each piece of bread and place 4 slices of the bread butter side down in a large skillet over medium heat on the stove.
Add a layer of dressing to the other side of the slices of bread in the skillet.
Top each slice of bread in the skillet with a slice of swiss cheese, a serving of corned beef, ¼ of the sauerkraut and another slice of swiss cheese.
Add a layer of dressing to the non-buttered side of the remaining pieces of bread, and place them dressing side down on the top of each sandwich in the skillet.
Once the first side of the sandwich is toasted, flip them carefully to toast the other side well.
