These No Yeast Cinnamon Rolls are an easy and delicious treat that you can whip up in no time, they are the perfect snack for any occasion and are sure to be a hit!
Ingredients
For the dough:
2 ½C.All purpose flour
¼C.Sugar
1tsp.Baking soda
1tsp.Baking powder
1C.Buttermilk
Pinchof salt
1Stick of butter melted and divided
2tsp.Vanilla extract
For the filling:
1C.Brown sugar
1Tbsp.Cinnamon
2Tbsp.Butter melted
For the icing:
5oz.Cream cheese softened
1C.Powdered sugar
2-4Tbsp.Buttermilk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, 1 cup buttermilk, pinch of salt, 4 tbsp of the melted butter, and vanilla extract. Beat until just combined.
In a separate bowl, mix together the ingredients for the filling.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times.
Divide the dough in half and roll each half of the dough into a rectangular shape about ¼ to ⅛ of an inch thick.
Sprinkle half of the filling mixture onto each of the dough rectangles and roll lengthwise tightly until closed into a log.
Cut the ends off of each log of dough, and then slice each log into 12 even pieces.
Place the cinnamon rolls flat side down into a well-greased 9x13 baking dish.
Brush the rolls with the remaining melted butter.
Bake for 20 minutes, and let cool for about 20 minutes.
Mix together the ingredients for the icing, and spread over the cinnamon rolls before serving.
