Nothing is tastier first thing in the morning, mid-day, as an evening snack, or as an addition to any meal than Banana Bread Brownies with Brown Butter Frosting. These delightful treats are moist, fluffy, not dense, and have extraordinary melt-in-your-mouth goodness. The Brown Butter Frosting adds just enough sweetness.
Ingredients
2C.All purpose flour
1 ½C.Sugar
1C.Sour cream
4Ripe Bananas smashed
2Large eggs
½C.Butter softened
2tsp.Vanilla extract
3tsp.Baking powder
½tsp.Baking soda
½C.Chopped walnuts
For the frosting:
½C.Butter softened
4C.Powdered sugar
2tsp.Vanilla extract
3Tbsp.Milk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Add the ingredients for the brownies into a mixing bowl, and beat on high until smooth.
Spread the batter into a well-greased 9x13 baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the ingredients for the frosting.
Spread the frosting over the warm cake.
Serve immediately, or cool to room temperature before serving if preferred.
