Ingredients
2 BunchesAsparagus with the woody bottoms trimmed
½ C. Heavy whipping cream
½ oz. Cream cheese , softened
⅓ C. Parmesan cheese grated
⅛ C. Pepper jack cheese shredded
⅓ C. Bacon pieces
¼ C. Mozzarella cheese
½tsp.Garlic powder
¼ tsp. Paprika
1 Tbsp. Butter
⅛ tsp. Salt
⅛ tsp. Pepper
1 Tbsp. Chicken broth
¼ tsp. Italian seasoning
½ tsp. Red pepper flakes
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Mix in the cream cheese, chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Simmer until the mixture thickens.
Stir the pepper jack and Parmesan cheeses into the mixture until melted.
Layer the asparagus in a well greased 9x13 baking dish, and top with the sauce.
Sprinkle with the red pepper flakes and mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes, remove and sprinkle with bacon before serving.
