This chocolate pie is incredibly indulgent and surprisingly simple to make. The store bought Oreo crust makes this super easy, the fluffy chocolate mousse is made from real chocolate and melted marshmallows for the softest, richest mousse you’ve ever tried!
Ingredients
2Tbspsalted butter, diced
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2cupbittersweet chocolate chips
2cupsmini marshmallows
1/3cupwhole milk
1tspvanilla extract
1 3/4cupsheavy whipping cream
1Oreo pie crust
Toppings:
1cup235ml heavy cream
2Tbsp25g granulated sugar
Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
Combine the butter, whole milk, chocolate chips, and marshmallows in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until the marshmallows have melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in the vanilla and allow the mixture to cool for 1 hour.
Add 1 ¾ cup of the heavy whipping cream to a large bowl and whip with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Fold the cream into the chocolate mixture until smooth.
Pour the mixture into the Oreo pie crust and spread evenly. Chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
Add the remaining 1 cup of heavy whipping cream to a large bowl with the sugar and whip until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled pie and top with chocolate shavings.
