Ingredients
For the cake:
5 Eggs, Large
2sticksButter, softened
3cAll-purpose flour
2cSugar
1tspBaking powder
8ozCream cheese , softened
1tspSalt
⅓ cWhole milk
4 Peach, peeled and sliced
1 tbspVanilla
For the cinnamon sugar mixture:
1tbspCinnamon
2 tbspBourbon or rum
¼tspNutmeg
½cBrown sugar
¼ cMelted butter
For the vanilla glaze:
1tspVanilla
1cPowdered sugar
3 tbspMilk
Instructions
Heat the oven to 300 degrees.
Place a layer of the sliced peaches into the bottom of a well-greased bundt pan.
Mix together the cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
Sprinkle half of the above mixture over the peaches in the pan.
Pour half of the melted butter and half of the bourbon or rum over the peaches.
Blend together the butter, sugar, and cream cheese for the cake until smooth and creamy.
Add in the baking powder, salt, and flour.
Spread half of the batter over the peaches in the bundt pan.
Add another layer of peaches on top of the layer of batter, along with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture, melted butter, and bourbon or rum.
Spread the remaining batter on top, and bake on top of another baking sheet for 55-60 minutes.
Flip the bundt pan over onto a plate or platter to release the cake from the pan, and allow it to cool.
Stir together the glaze ingredients, and pour over the cooled cake before serving.
