Ingredients
8Gold potatoes shredded
½C.Flour
3Large eggs
½tsp.Garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the meat mixture:
½lb.Ground beef
¼C.Dried minced onion
1Large egg
¼C.Bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded potato, 3 eggs, ½ cup flour, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
In a smaller bowl, combine the ground beef, minced onion, egg, bread crumbs, and salt and pepper to taste. Knead until combined well.
Heat about an inch or two of oil in a deep sided skillet over medium-high heat on the stove.
Place a layer of the potato in your hand, topped with a small amount of the filling, and then flatten another layer of potato on top of the filling. Form the mixture into a small round pancake, and drop it gently into the heated oil. Fry on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel lined rack to drain and cool.
