McGriddles are a McDonald's breakfast classic, and now you can make them at home with my homemade McDonald's McGriddles recipe! The combination of sweet and savory flavors makes this sandwich an absolute treat. Plus, it's easy to whip up in minutes!
Place the maple syrup in a saucepan over medium high heat and bring to a low boil. Whisk often until the maple syrup darkens, thickens and reaches a temperature of 265 degrees.
Pour the maple syrup mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet and cool until it can be crumbled into pieces.
Prepare the pancake mix, and use it to make 8 smaller pancakes. Sprinkle some of the crushed maple syrup mixture into the pancakes as they cook.
Cook the eggs, dividing them into 4 pieces when finished.
Cook the bacon until crispy and then drain on a paper towel lined plate.
Top four of the pancakes with a slice of American cheese, then one portion of egg and a slice of the bacon broken in half.
Add another pancake on top of each sandwich and serve.
