Chicken Roll Ups

This recipe is not what you would expect when you hear Chicken Roll-ups. I am not sure why this dish has that name. Anyway, this is a great comforting casserole-type dish.

This Chicken Roll-up recipe combines moist and tender chicken with a creamy gravy or sauce and, are you ready? Crescent Rolls! Simple Crescent rolls to make a dish that is yummy, super easy to make, and loved by all!

So, when it says Chicken Roll-ups, you will be rolling Chicken into a crescent roll and baking them.

Spoon some gravy over the top and you have yourself a filling, tasty and easy-to-make dinner.

Why is this recipe so good?

Besides being so simple, it makes a comforting dinner that tastes great and is family-friendly. A dish that does not take hardly any work, hardly any ingredients, and just a short time in the oven.

Variations:

You could use Turkey instead of chicken. You could swap the cream of chicken soup for a Cream of Mushroom soup.

Ingredients:

  • Crescent rolls
  • Shredded chicken
  • Cream of chicken soup
  • Milk
  • Chicken broth
  • Flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Chicken Roll-Ups:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2. In a bowl, whisk together the soup, milk, broth, flour, and salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3. Add most of the soup mixture to the bottom of a greased 9×9 baking dish.

Step 4. Roll the crescent rolls out on a flat surface.

Step 5. At the thickest end of each crescent roll, put a bit of the shredded chicken. Carefully roll the dough downwards towards the smallest end to create a crescent wrapped chicken packet.

Step 6. Place the chicken roll-ups on top of the soup mixture in the baking dish, and sprinkle the remaining soup mixture over the top of the roll-ups, careful not to use too much on the top so that they can bake properly.

Step 7. Bake for 25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.

Now, ready to serve!

How to store this Chicken Roll-up Dish?

When the dish has cooled completely, transfer it to an airtight container and place it into the refrigerator. You can store the Chicken Roll-up dinner in the refrigerator for 3 days.

Can this dish be frozen?

It is possible to freeze this dish, but not recommended. The Crescent Rolls may become saggy when the dish thaws.

How can I reheat the Chicken Roll-ups?

To reheat, place the food into a baking dish or pan and place it into a preheated 350* oven. Heat for 5 to 8 minutes or until heated through.
