Why Try Out This Pillsbury Crescent Roll Taco Bake recipe
This recipe is quick and easy to make, taking only 35 minutes from start to finish. It’s a great option for a family meal or a party, as it can serve up to six people.
The combination of taco-seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese, baked inside a flaky crescent roll crust, create a flavorful and satisfying meal.
Are crescent rolls the same as puff pastry?
Crescent rolls and puff pastry are not the same. While they are both flaky and made from laminated dough, the dough used for crescent rolls contains yeast, which gives it a slightly leavened texture, while puff pastry is unleavened. Crescent rolls are also typically sweeter than puff pastry.
Can I substitute puff pastry for crescent roll dough?
While the puff pastry is not an exact substitute for crescent roll dough in this recipe, it can be used as a replacement if needed. Keep in mind that puff pastry will not have the same slightly sweet flavor as crescent rolls, and the texture may be slightly different.

What do I serve with the taco bake?
This taco bake can be served on its own or with a side of rice, beans, or a salad. You can also offer toppings such as chopped avocado, sliced jalapeños, or additional shredded cheese for your guests to customize their own portions.

I just made the crescent roll taco bake in my air fryer I hope it comes out good.
What a great idea. We liked it more than a flour tortilla. Only used one 12 oz package of Pillsbury Crescent Grands and fit perfectly into a 9 inch pie plate. M6 grandkids loved it and not so messy as you eat with with a fork as you would quiche.
I made the taco pie tonight for dinner…it was very good. The only thing I did different was I added refried beans…layered it over the ground beef, and then added the cheese. Was very filling.
Great! Happy cooking 🙂
Too much crescent rolls.
