Walking Taco Casserole

This Walking Taco Casserole is full of Mexican favorites and topped with Doritos, Fritos, or Tortilla Chips! It’s easy to make days ahead of time and bake later for an easy and delicious dinner!

This walking taco casserole is the perfect easy dinner that packs so much Tex-Mex flavor!

Loaded with crispy fritos, taco-seasoned ground beef get baked with a layer of sharp cheddar. 

On top, a crisp and refreshing zesty ranch salad adds freshness and brightness. You’ll love it!

Ingredients:

Ground beef

Onion chopped

Cream cheese

Taco seasoning

Green chilis

Fritos corn chips

Shredded taco blend cheese

Roma tomato chopped

Shredded lettuce

Salsa and sour cream for garnish

How to make Walking Taco Casserole :

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2. Place the ground beef and onion in an oven safe skillet over medium high heat on the stove. Saute until the meat is browned and the onions have softened.

Step 3. Add the taco seasoning, green chilis and cream cheese to the skillet, and saute until the cream cheese is completely melted and combined.

Step 4. Top the mixture with the corn chips and then the shredded cheese.

Step 5. Bake for 20 minutes.

Step 6. Remove the skillet from the oven and top with shredded lettuce and tomato.

Step 7. Garnish with salsa and sour cream if desired.

  • 1 C. Shredded taco blend cheese
  • 1 Roma tomato chopped
  • 1-2 C. Shredded lettuce
  • Salsa and sour cream for garnish
