It is no secret that I love breakfast! I don’t know how some people can skip breakfast completely! I could eat breakfast for dinner and be satisfied. One of my favorite breakfast meals is oatmeal. I eat oatmeal every weekday morning, it is fast, easy, and very healthy. Blueberry oatmeal and banana oatmeal are my favorite, but since fall has arrived I have been looking for a more seasonal flavor. I tried this oatmeal for the first time this past weekend and fell in love. Hearty oatmeal spiced with cinnamon, cloves, and pureed pumpkin, topped with walnuts, cranberries and a sprinkling of brown sugar. This pumpkin oatmeal is the perfect way to start your day!

I have read about pumpkin oatmeal a lot lately, but have resisted trying it b/c I only like oatmeal if it’s REALLY sweet, and I know canned pumpkin needs to be very “doctored” to have the sweetness of pumpkin pie. But if you say it’s good, I might have to try. Something that helps is making the oatmeal with vanilla soy or almond milk– much sweeter, and adds a nice vanilla flavor!
This is a great way to start the day! I’m usually not a cooked oatmeal fan but this looks so delicious it makes me want to give it another try!

I rarely have oatmeal for breakfast but looking at your picture made me re-think and maybe try it more often
