How to serve grape salad recipe?
This grape salad recipe is already great on its own. However, it also pairs well with grilled steak, baked chicken thighs, grilled salmon, and oven-baked salmon.
Cooking tips:
- Wash the grapes well and dry them completely with a towel. The dressing sticks properly to dried grapes.
- Use room-temperature cream cheese and sour cream. This softens the creams and prevents lumps from forming in the dressing.
- Place the grape salad in the fridge for a few minutes, as it tastes better when chilled.
- If you’re planning to sprinkle some brown sugar into the salad for a sweeter taste, do so immediately before serving so that the sugar doesn’t sit for long and melt.
Variations:
- Add strawberries to create a grape salad with strawberries. It’s a healthier sweeter option.
- Replace pecans with other types of nuts, such as pistachios, walnuts, or almonds.
- Use plain or vanilla yogurt instead of sour cream in the salad. Unsweetened Greek yogurt works wonders as well.
- Add a teaspoon of orange or lemon zest to the dressing to enhance the flavor.
