Best Sweet Potato Pie Recipe

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes | Servings: 6

Ingredients:

1 large sweet potato (about a pound)

1 Premade frozen pie crust not baked

½ C. Softened and unsalted butter

⅔ C. Granulated sugar

⅓ C. Brown sugar

½ C. Milk

2 large eggs

1 tsp. Vanilla extract

How to make Best Sweet Potato Pie Recipe:

Step 1. Place the sweet potato into a pot of water, and boil for 40 minutes. Remove immediately and place under cold running water. Once cool enough to handle, gently remove the skin.

Step 2. Add the sweet potato, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla to a mixing bowl and beat on high until smooth.

Step 3. Put the eggs and vanilla into the bowl with the mixture and beat again until smooth and creamy.

Step 4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Step 5. Pour the mixture into the frozen pie crust and bake for 40-50 minutes until set. Let cool completely to room temperature and then chill if desired before serving.
