Bulgar Breakfast Cereal
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup medium-grind bulgur
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup flaxseed meal
- 1/2 cup toasted almonds, chopped
- 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
- Honey, for serving

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine water, bulgar, salt, cinnamon, raisins, and cranberries; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and divide between 4 bowls.
- Top each serving with 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal, 1 teaspoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon chopped almonds. Drizzle with honey to taste.
- Serve warm.
