Why is this Cucumber Salad so good?
This is a light salad, very refreshing and creamy. Loaded with cucumber, tomato, and onions. This salad brings back memories for me.
Should the dressing be creamy style or a vinaigrette?
That choice is up to you! I love both versions, so for me, there is no right or wrong. The creamy style adds a slight punch or tang to the cucumber salad.
Can I substitute for the mayonnaise?
You could certainly eliminate the mayo. You can substitute a Greek Yogurt or a creamy dressing such as Ranch. This would still be a delightful addition to any table.
How many carbs are in a Cucumber salad?
This is a healthy summer-style salad that is naturally low in calories and low in carbs.
How should the cucumber be cut for this salad?
This salad is usually made with sliced cucumbers. I have made it myself with chunks of cucumber and it makes absolutely no difference in how the cucumber is done.
Which type of cucumber is best for this salad?
Fresh cucumbers right out of the garden are what I tell everyone! If you have an English cucumber that is great, if not the ordinary cucumber will still taste just as good.
