How to serve Catch a Husband Cake?
This cake is marvelous on its own, but if you want to dress it up a bit, you have a few options. You can add a dollop of whipped cream to each slice. Alternately, adding a few berries, like strawberries or blueberries, gives this cake a touch of color.
Tips:
- Be sure that you grease your Bundt pan very well and lightly flour it so that the cake will slide out without sticking.
- If you do not have a blender, you can use an electric mixer to blend the cake batter.
- Pay attention when you are shopping for this cake. You need BOTH evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk. They are not the same thing.
Variations:
- If you don’t care for coconut, you can leave it out and make a plain vanilla version of this cake.
- Add a cup of miniature chocolate chips to the cake batter before baking to make a chocolate version of this cake.

- Condensed Milk
- Evaporated Milk
- Coconut Milk
- Flour
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Butter
The icing:
- Coconut Milk
- Sugar
- Coconut (Shredded)
How to make the catch husband cake:
How to make the cake:
Step 1. In a big blender, blend half of all ingredients for the cake.
Step 2. Put the blended mixture in a big bowl and then blend the other half of the ingredients.
Step 3. Put the other half of the blended mixture in the same bowl and mix together with a whisk.
Step 4. Add the blended mixture to a greased and floured Bundt pan.
Step 5. Bake at 350º F / 175º C for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Insert a toothpick in the cake, if it comes out clean remove the cake from the oven.
Step 6. Carefully remove the cake from the pan. Run a soft spatula around the edges of the cake, then invert a serving plate on top of the pan. In one quick motion, flip the cake upside-down.
How to make the icing:
Step 1. In a small-medium saucepan, put the coconut milk, sugar, and grated coconut and stir.
Step 2. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat. Let it cool for 5 minutes and then pour over the cake.
