Why I Love Knock You Naked Bars
I love a good, gooey, caramel bar. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll be obsessed with these knock you naked bars! Here are a few reasons why I find myself making these over and over again:
- They have caramel AND chocolate chips: a double whammy!
- The peanut butter gives them a little salty twist which I absolutely love
- They freeze very well, which makes them perfect to whip up in advance for a special occasion!
Can You Use Condensed Milk Instead of Evaporated Milk to Make Caramel?
Technically, you can use condensed milk instead of evaporated milk, but we prefer the latter because it’s unsweetened and makes the bars rich and delicious without adding too much extra sugar.
What Are Knock You Naked Bars?
These knock you naked cookie bars are yummy bars with a gooey chocolate and peanut butter middle, and a crispy caramel top. Sooo good it’s unreal!
How to Serve Knock You Naked Bars
Try serving them for breakfast, maybe as a way to kick off the weekend, or simply have one as a mid-morning snack with your cup of tea or coffee – yum! Just remember: wait for them to cool down before cutting into them.
Cooking Tips:
Using evaporated milk to make your caramel sauce is much better than using condensed milk, as it keeps the added sugars lower.
Variations:
If you are not a fan of chocolate (unbelievably, some people aren’t!) or have a nut allergy, you can easily remove these ingredients from the recipe and still get to enjoy its main caramel goodness!
