This Pepperoni Pizza Casserole recipe is the perfect dish for a busy weeknight. It’s quick and easy to make, and it’s packed with all of the flavors of your favorite pizza. The best part is that it can be made ahead of time and reheated when you’re ready to eat. Simply add all of the ingredients to a casserole dish, cover, and refrigerate. When you’re ready to eat, simply bake the casserole until it’s hot and bubbly. This recipe is sure to become a family favorite.

Why do I love this recipe?

This pepperoni pizza casserole is one of my all-time favorite recipes! It’s easy to make, and it’s packed with flavor. The best part? It’s a great way to use up leftover pepperoni. So if you’re looking for a delicious and easy recipe, this is the one for you!

I love this recipe because it’s so easy to make. You simply layer potatoes, pepperoni, and cheese in a casserole dish, and bake it until it’s hot and bubbly. The result is a delicious and hearty dish that will satisfy even the most demanding appetites.

Another reason I love this recipe is that it’s versatile. You can easily add or remove ingredients to suit your taste. For example, if you’re not a fan of pepperoni, you can substitute it with sausage or ham. You can also add vegetables like onions or peppers to the casserole.

Can vegetables be added to this casserole?

Yes, vegetables can be added to this casserole. Some popular options include mushrooms, onions, and peppers. If you’re looking for a more nutritious option, you could also add spinach or broccoli. Just be sure to cook the vegetables before adding them to the casserole so they’re not too raw.

How do you keep pepperoni pizza casserole from drying out?

The key to keeping pepperoni pizza casserole from drying out is twofold: use a good quality tomato sauce and don’t overcook the pasta. If you’re using a jarred sauce, look for one that’s not too sweet or acidic. For the pasta, cook it just until al dente, so it still has a bit of bite to it. Finally, make sure to cover the casserole while it’s baking, so the cheese doesn’t get too browned or dry out.

Can I Use Ground Beef?

If you’re in a pinch and all you have is ground beef, you can definitely use it in this casserole. Just brown the beef and drain off any excess grease before adding it to the rest of the ingredients. You may want to add a little extra seasoning to the beef to give it a boost of flavor.

What types of pasta can be used in this casserole?

You can really use any type of pasta in this casserole, but we prefer to use low-carb rotini. You could also use shells, elbows, or even spaghetti. Just be sure to cook the pasta al dente according to the package directions so it doesn’t get too mushy when baked.

Can I use pizza sauce instead of tomato sauce?

If you’re in a pinch and need to use pizza sauce instead of tomato sauce, go for it! Just know that your casserole might be a little bit more on the salty side. Other than that, this substitution won’t affect the taste or texture of your dish too much.

What to serve with pizza casserole:

If you’re looking for something to serve alongside your pepperoni pizza casserole, why not try a simple salad or some garlic bread? A green salad is a perfect way to add some freshness and balance out the heartiness of the casserole, while garlic bread is always a delicious accompaniment to pizza. You could also try serving this casserole with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice. Really, the options are endless! Just choose whatever sounds good to you and enjoy.

Tips for this recipe

Here are a few tips to make this recipe even better:

  • If you’re short on time, you can use pre-made pizza dough instead of making your own.
  • For extra flavor, try adding some chopped onions or green peppers to the casserole.
  • Don’t like pepperoni? Feel free to substitute your favorite pizza toppings in their place.

What variations of pepperoni pizza casserole can be made?
