Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour — An essential ingredient for any bread recipe, of course.
- Granulated sugar — This is a sweet bread, but not too sweet.
- Cinnamon — No snickerdoodle is complete without the classic flavor of cinnamon, so of course, our snickerdoodle bread recipe includes it too.
- Baking powder — Essential for the airy texture of our bread.
- Butter, unsalted and melted — Make sure the butter has cooled to room temperature after melting it, so it doesn’t accidentally cook the eggs.

- Vanilla extract — A little goes a long way flavor-wise with this bread.

Then add the eggs and the Greek yogurt. I use nonfat.

Tips for Success
No matter where on your baking journey you’re at, you can always use some tips, right? So, here’s what has always worked for me to get a good rise when I bake this family friendly Snickerdoodle Bread is pure heaven:
- Don’t overfill the pan. If you fill it to the brim (and you’d want to, it’s just so tempting), your bread will collapse because there’s no room to rise.
- Grease the pan. Always, always, always! You want the batter to cling to the top portion of the pan when baking, but you want to grease the bottom and the corners to make it easier to remove the loaf later.
If you notice a crack down the middle of the loaf as it’s baking, kiss your hands! You’re getting there.
Storing Leftovers
You’ll want to store this Snickerdoodle Bread covered at room temperature – nice and easy! It’ll be fresh to enjoy for 4 to 5 days. You can also pop it in the fridge (of course, covered well) to add some extra days to the shelf life.
This sweet quick-bread also freezes beautifully. Once you bake and cool it, you’ll want to slice it, then wrap it in plastic wrap/freezer paper/aluminum foil. Once you do, you can freeze it for up to 3 months.
Serving Suggestions
It’s already sweet and tasty, so I love to serve it as is. But for a little more wow, serve it with a dollop of whipped cream. You can also try a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Yum!

FAQ:
When Can I Buy Cinnamon Chips?
These seasonal delights are usually on store shelves during the fall, and sometimes in the winter too. I’d say stock up whenever and where ever you see them. These are a treasure.
Can I Make The Bread Ahead of Time?
Yes you can! Store it per the instructions above, and it will keep for several days ahead of time.
You can always prepare your batter in advance also. It’ll stay good in the fridge for up to 24 hours. But because it’s chilled now, you’ll have to add a few extra baking minutes.
What Are Some Snickerdoodle Bread Variations?
There’s so much you can do to this recipe. It’s amazing. If you’re looking for homemade Snickerdoodle Bread is pure heaven ideas, I’ve tried a few of these:
- Bake mini loaves in aluminum mini loaf pans.
- Make muffins instead of a bread loaf. You can expect about 20 muffins from this recipe.
- When we didn’t have cinnamon chips, we tossed in some toffee chips and butterscotch chips instead. They were beautiful. You can also use old-school raisins and chopped nuts. Chocolate chips are a great option as well.

Snickerdoodles have a flavor that really can’t be beat. Combine that awesome flavor with the texture of homemade bread, and you’ve got a recipe for pure happiness!
