Why I love Best Ever Shrimp Tacos?

I am one that will try any taco, so this one is not a hard sell for me. If you love easy and simple food that tastes anything, this one will please your crowd.

  • Fast – The cilantro-based taco sauce takes just a few minutes, and the shrimp will cook quickly in the skillet.
  • Delicious – You can’t beat the simplicity of the flavor profile with garlic, lime, and cilantro bringing it all home with the taco seasoning.
  • Versatile – These tacos will go with everything and can be accommodated or modified for picky eaters or people with allergies or vegan food preferences.

What to season shrimp with?

When you are making shrimp tacos, you want to season the shrimp with something with a little kick most of the time. Otherwise, it’s just a different kind of sandwich. Bring your salt and pepper to the dish, but remember that the lime and mayo will balance any kick that your spicy seasoning will add.

How to cook shrimp perfectly?

This is the best shrimp tacos recipe because it offers the gold standard for cooking shrimp. In some oil and butter to start, and then saute on high until they are ready. You can add some garlic into the butter and oil until it is fragrant if you are a garlic nut like I am.

How to serve Best Ever Shrimp Tacos?

These shrimp tacos do well with almost anything that embodies taco night. Think refried beans, Spanish or Mexican rice, cole slaw (already included), and nachos. French fries supreme are a crowd-pleaser if you really want to win them over tonight.

Cooking Tips:

Don’t fret with the shrimp once they are in the pan, let them cook on their own in the pan. When they are ready you will notice them start to move around the pan. Orange and white is the color you are looking for, and when the flesh at the head of the shrimp is no longer clear, they are ready to eat.

Variations:

You can make these best-ever shrimp tacos as spicy as you want to, and add some of your favorite Cajun or Creole seasoning to give these tacos an extra kick. Or, play with the soft cheeses here if you can’t locate feta. Goat cheese goes well with this, cheddar doesn’t unless you are bringing in other meats that can take it.
