What is one of the most iconic desserts known across the world? If you said Apple Pie then you will be super excited about this recipe. It’s my Easy Swedish Apple Pie and it couldn’t be any more simple for you to recreate at a time in a few short steps.

Crisp Apples layered with sweet and delicious seasonings will have you coming back for more. Let’s get started!

Easy Swedish Apple Pie

What goes best with this dessert?

Traditionally, most times this dessert is served hot with a nice cold bowl of vanilla ice cream. You can even add a hefty scoop of vanilla ice cream right on top of your apple pie. Another perfect pairing is adding fresh fruit to the top of your Apple Pie. I personally love

adding fresh blueberries or strawberries to the top for added sweetness and that refreshing taste.

Can you use other types of Apples?

Granny Smith is traditional but there are many different types of apples that work well with this recipe. Honeycrisp apples keep their crisp and fresh taste while holding up firm during the baking process. Golden Delicious apples say it all!

They bring an extra level of sweetness to the dish. After baking these apples will become softer than some other apples that are used in this traditional recipe but still work perfectly. When selecting your apple just make sure it is a variety that will hold up well to the heat. You want them to become soft but some will become softer than others and make the dish too mushy.
