This is one of the most iconic dishes the world over. The Easy Swedish Apple Pie is one of those treats that you never forget. If you can’t remember having this, I would safely bet that you haven’t.

With a dessert loaded with Apples, cinnamon, and a couple of common ingredients you can have this dessert ready for dinner tonight.

Many are probably wondering if any apple will work for this dessert, they could but it is highly suggested to use Granny Smith Apples.

Again, I cannot stress just how easy this iconic dessert is to make! You are going to be blown away!

Why is this so iconic?

This recipe has been around for many generations. When times were tough, this is a dessert that did not require ingredients that were too expensive to afford for those times.

Are other varieties of Apples okay to use?

You could use other varieties, but they will not all taste the same as when you use Granny Smith. Try to find apples that are similar to a Granny Smith, such as Honeycrisp or Golden Delicious.

Ingredients:

  • Apples
  • Brown Sugar
  • White Sugar
  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Butter
  • Egg

How to make this Easy Swedish Apple Pie

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add the apples and Brown Sugar.

Peel the apples.

Cut the apples into large slices.

Adding the brown Sugar or the granulated sugar.

Toss until well coated and arrange them evenly onto a pie plate.

Step 3: Grab another medium mixing bowl and add in flour, egg, butter, cinnamon, and 1 cup of White Sugar. Whisk until all ingredients are combined.

Step 4: Spread your mixture over your apples. Making sure all pieces of the apples are covered.

Step 5: Place pie plate into the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top of it turns golden brown

Step 6: Remove from the oven and allow the pie to cool to room temperature. Serve warm.

  • 1 ½ lb Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 2 cups White Sugar
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • 1 large Egg

Instructions
