Why do we love this lemon butter potatoes recipe?
There could be many reasons why someone might love a lemon butter potatoes recipe. Some people may enjoy the tangy and buttery flavor, while others may appreciate the crispy texture or the simplicity of the recipe.
Ultimately, taste preferences are subjective and can vary from person to person. These are a must-make for our family as we are spud lovers.
What kind of potatoes are best for roasting?
Generally, starchy potatoes like Russet or Yukon Gold are the best for roasting because they have a drier texture and can become crispy on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside.
New potatoes or waxy potatoes have a lower starch content and can become mushy when roasted.
How do I make roast potatoes crisp?
To make roast potatoes crisp, there are a few key steps you can follow. First, make sure the potatoes are cut into even-sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly.
Then, toss the potatoes in a generous amount of oil or fat, such as olive oil or duck fat. Spread the potatoes out in a single layer on a baking sheet and place them in a hot oven.
Be patient and avoid flipping the potatoes too often, as this can prevent them from crisping up. Finally, add a sprinkle of salt and any desired herbs or spices once the potatoes are cooked.
Do you have to boil potatoes before roasting?
Boiling potatoes before roasting is not necessary, but some people prefer to parboil the potatoes for a few minutes before roasting them to ensure they are fully cooked on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Why won’t my roast potatoes get crispy?
There could be several reasons why roast potatoes don’t get crispy. The most common reason is that the potatoes are overcrowded on the baking sheet, preventing them from crisping up.
