Why is this recipe so good?
This cake is moist and fluffy. It is easy to make, and the perfect combination of texture and flavors. This is also a great way of using small amounts of peanut butter in multiple jars.
What is the best frosting for a Peanut Butter Cake?
This is a debatable question. Some people choose to have milk chocolate, while others want a simple vanilla buttercream frosting. Whale they are both great choices, nothing compares to a Peanut Butter frosting on the Peanut Butter cake.
Should I use Crunchy peanut butter or creamy style?
I prefer to use the crunchy style. It adds to the texture and taste. Peanut butter cake is packed with protein, which should qualify it as healthy, right??? If you do choose to use crunchy, be sure that you break the clumps up so that it will mix into the cake batter better.
Does this cake need additional toppings?
That is ultimately your choice. You could sprinkle miniature chocolate chips over the frosting right when you spread the frosting. You could just add a dollop of whipped topping to the cake.
Can I use a box mix to make this cake?
Certainly, you can! Peanut butter cake is a simple cake to make and requires very little additional work. With a box cake mix, you will cut the amount of liquid back slightly and then add the peanut butter.
Does Peanut Butter Cake need to be refrigerated?
This cake is delicious and does not need to be refrigerated. It would make the cake less flavorful if it is kept in the refrigerator. Store this cake and Peanut Butter frosting in an airtight container, on your counter and be sure to eat it within a few days time. The cake will stay fresh for up to 4 days.
