Why I Love These Cinnamon Rolls
- Cinnamon rolls without the fuss.
- Heavy whipping cream keeps the rolls moist.
- Convenience of using frozen bread dough.
What’s the difference between cinnamon rolls and cinnamon buns?
A cinnamon roll is formed when the filled dough is rolled into a long ‘tube’ and sliced to form the individual rolls. Cinnamon buns are made individually: the dough is rolled once around itself.
Why do my cinnamon rolls get hard?
Keep your cinnamon rolls away from the air, or they will harden. This means keeping them in an air-tight container. They can also go hard in the fridge if they are kept for too long. If you heat the rolls up in the microwave, they will harden.
Why are my cinnamon rolls not fluffy?
The clue to cinnamon rolls being fluffy is the bread dough. Make sure you give it enough time to rise properly before knocking it down and kneading it. Always work gently with the dough.
How can I make cinnamon rolls more moist?
To make your easy cinnamon rolls more moist during baking, add more cream to the recipe. If you want them to be very moist, substitute the milk for more cream. You can also make the rolls more moist by adding another tablespoon of butter to the mix.
Is brown sugar or white sugar best for cinnamon rolls?
Either brown or white sugar can be used for cinnamon rolls. The white sugar will produce a sweeter taste, while the brown sugar will make the rolls taste a little like caramel.
How to serve Cinnamon Rolls?
The best way to serve cinnamon rolls is warm. You can even pour some cream or custard over the roll to make a really decadent dessert.
The rolls can also be served cold, with a lovely cup of spicy chai tea. If you want that extra touch, cut and butter the rolls.
Cooking Tips:
- Handle the dough carefully. Push it down gently and squeeze it together.
