Ingredients:
- Short ribs
- Olive oil
- Onion
- Carrots
- Celery
- Mushrooms
- Minced garlic
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- Beef broth
- Dry red cooking wine
- Tomato paste
- Balsamic vinegar
- Bay leaves
- Ground thyme
- Dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley
How Do You Make French Style Braised Short Ribs:
Step 1. Add the olive oil to a large pot over medium high heat on the stove.
Step 2. Sear the meat well on all sides, remove and set aside.
Step 3. Add the vegetables to the pot with the drippings from the meat.
Then saute until softened.
Step 4. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and add the meat back to the pot.
Adding the beef broth.
Adding the dry red cooking wine.
Adding the balsamic vinegar.
Adding the tomato paste.
Adding the dried rosemary.
Adding the ground thyme.
Step 5. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours.
Step 6. Serve with fresh chopped parsley for garnish.

- 1 Onion sliced
- 3 Carrots peeled and sliced
