Easy Homemade Caramel Pecan White Chocolate Fudge
If you love homemade fudge, this is the recipe for you. This simple to make fudge tastes amazing. This caramel pecan white chocolate fudge is great for a Christmas treat, as a gift during the holidays, or a just because I want some fudge. The caramel pecan fudge recipe is one of the easiest fudge recipes I have ever made.
When it comes to fudge, I have seen just about every flavor imaginable, including cotton candy fudge. I think this recipe for caramel pecan white chocolate fudge is perfect any time of year, but it is even better around the holiday season. When you make this fudge for present, wrap it in either decorative plastic, holiday themed baggies or put in inside a holiday tin. It makes a wonderful personal gift idea.
What bowl do I use to safely make microwave fudge
When you are using the microwave, you want to make sure you are using a microwave safe bowl. You never want to use a metal bowl. This will not only cause sparks it will start a fire in the microwave. You can use a plastic bowl or a glass bowl. As long as the bowl is marked microwave safe, you can use it for making microwave fudge. If you are not sure about a bowl, you can look on the bottom of the bowl. It is usually marked microwave safe or not safe for microwave. If you are not sure, it might be best to use a different bowl. A non microwavable bowl can melt when used in the microwave.
How do I store homemade fudge?
When you make homemade fudge, you will need to keep the fudge in an airtight container. This will prevent moisture loss. When the fudge loses moisture, it will become dry and crumbly. This is never an appetizer thing. When the fudge is stored at room temperature in an airtight container, it can last up to 2 weeks. If you plan to store the fudge longer than that, move it to the refrigerator.
Can Homemade Fudge Be Frozen
If you have too much fudge to eat before it goes bad, move the fudge to the freezer. In order to freeze the homemade fudge, you will want to wrap it well with plastic. After it has been wrapped well with plastic, you can put it in a freezer bag or in an airtight container. The homemade fudge will last a month or longer when wrapped well in the freezer.
Storage and freezing of store bought fudge is the same as storing homemade fudge. I like to make large batches of this easy microwave fudge and have it whenever the craving hits. Storing them in single serving sizes makes it easy to take a little or a lot of fudge out of the freezer to ensure you only have enough fudge that you can eat before it goes bad.
