What type or cut of Chicken should I use?

Any cut will work. I prefer to use the boneless and skinless Chicken breast.

How can I make the Chinese Chicken tender?

The best way to ensure soft chicken is to marinate the chicken prior to cooking. Be sure it is cooked thoroughly, and if you use frozen chicken, make sure it is completely thawed before cooking it.

Are there variations in this recipe?

Of course, there is. Everyone makes their own recipe which means they may add or eliminate something. It may be ginger, Soy Sauce, or another spice. Some may choose to use a different type of meat.

How should I serve this dish?

I am always first to say that you need to use a dark Soy Sauce with this recipe. Secondly, I serve this with a side of rice and the meal is complete for me.

Can I make this ahead of time?

You could make it by using a crock pot, or slow cooker. Just be sure that the chicken is thoroughly cooked before adding it. You could make this ahead and freeze it. Thaw 24 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

How should I store this dish?

I find it stores best in a freezer-safe ziploc bag. I squeeze all the air out and then seal it. It will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If you freeze it, it will last up to 3 months.
