Ground Beef Lo Mein Tips

  • When making ground beef lo mein, I like to use good quality ground beef that is lean but still has some flavor. Ground chuck or ground sirloin will give you the best results.
  • Be sure to cook the ground beef in batches and let it get nice and browned before adding more meat to the skillet. This helps ensure your ground beef has great texture and flavor!
  • Also, don’t forget to add plenty of vegetables – like carrots, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, snow peas – whatever you like! It’s a great way to make your meal even healthier.
  • Finally, be sure to season your ground beef lo mein well with some salt and pepper. A little bit of soy sauce or hoisin sauce will add a nice depth of flavor as well. Enjoy!

  • You could also use ground turkey instead of ground beef for a lighter version.
  • Or, if you’re looking for a vegetarian option, simply swap the ground beef for extra vegetables.
  • For an even heartier meal, add some cooked noodles or potatoes to bulk it up. You could also add in some cooked shrimp or chicken for added protein.
  • And don’t forget about the sauce – mix and match different sauces like hoisin, oyster sauce, teriyaki sauce, or chili-garlic sauce to create your own signature ground beef lo mein!
